Popular Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Reference Titles Are Now Available through Enfour iPhone Application

Tokyo and Boston — August 25, 2008 — Enfour and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company announced today the global rollout of the first iPhone and iPod Touch applications featuring the American Heritage® dictionaries and other best-selling Houghton Mifflin Harcourt reference titles. This marks the first time an authoritative reference publisher has made its major works available on a mobile or handheld device

Titles released  include The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition; The American Heritage® Desk Dictionary, Fourth Edition; Wall Street Words and Roget's II: The New Thesaurus

Additionally, a large portfolio of other popular Houghton Mifflin Harcourt titles for use on the iPhone and iPod Touch will release in the upcoming weeks.

Specifically designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch devices, these innovative handheld applications enable rich and complete English language reference functionality in your hands—anywhere and at any time.

The flagship title, The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition, contains all of the nearly 300,000 terms from the 2,074-page, 7.5-pound dictionary and includes sound, numerous full-color photographs, drawings, and maps. It is the most comprehensive and technologically advanced dictionary available anywhere on any mobile platform.

This custom-built iPhone application features fully searchable and updated definitions, real-voice audio pronunciations, zoomable graphics, bookmarking, annotation and history.

Since 2003, Enfour has been developing highly successful Japanese mobile phone content sites, which incorporate content licensed from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.
