Houghton Mifflin Commemorates Brown v. Board of Education Anniversary with Remember, by Toni Morrison

BOSTON, Mass. - May 17, 2004 - Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education, Pulitzer Prize recipient and Nobel laureate Toni Morrison and Houghton Mifflin have released Remember: The Journey to School Integration.

Remember is an account of America's past as well as a story of our continuing journey toward equality and tolerance. A companion video to Remember, narrated by Ms. Morrison, gives today's children a glimpse into this painful yet inspirational time in our nation's history. Ms. Morrison talks about her reasons for creating this important book, and asks today's children to be active in fostering tolerance in their schools and communities.
