Houghton Mifflin College Division makes knowledge accessible and meaningful to learners at four-year, community, and career colleges. With an inclusive approach to content and pedagogy, the Division publishes textbooks, study guides, technology tools, and other materials primarily for introductory-level college courses.

College Division authors are typically active, accomplished teachers with significant honors in and contributions to their fields. Among them are nominees and recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the Pulitzer Prize, the Bancroft Prize, and the NACC Teaching Award. Several authors serve in an advisory capacity to presidential, governmental, and other political leaders.
